Before and after: a cream soap bar on a stone

The starting photo shows a wet bar, covered in foam, on a dark stone. On white, the AI delivered a dry, sharp, well-isolated bar. Be careful, though: the tone drifted towards peach, the marbling on the surface is an interpretation, and the foam is gone. In the styled scene, a wooden soap dish, a waffle towel and a eucalyptus sprig create a bathroom mood, but the texture visible on the cut side differs from the original. With soap, compare the colour and the surface pattern with your real bar above all.
How to do it in 3 steps
- Shoot near a window in indirect daylight, with the soap dry, on a white sheet or light card, whole bar in frame with some margin. Turning one corner of the bar slightly towards the camera shows its thickness.
- Open the Product photo module, upload the picture and type a short instruction, for example: “clean white background, soft shadow under the soap, keep the cream colour and the swirls”. For a scene: “on a wooden soap dish, bright bathroom, morning light”.
- Generate at 1K (20 credits) to judge colour and texture, then at 2K or 4K (40 credits) for the published image. Download it and add it to your listing.
What to check on a soap bar
Handmade soap is recognised by its colour, its surface and its stamp. Check these first.
- True colour: this is the main trap. A cream can drift towards yellow or pink. Hold the real bar next to your screen in daylight to compare.
- Texture and pattern: swirls, glitter, flecks of herbs or seeds should look like those on your bar, not like an invented pattern.
- Stamp or lettering: an embossed name or logo can lose legibility or be rewritten. Check every letter, or keep a real close-up.
- Edges and shape: square, round or hand-cut. An uneven cut is a sign of craft, so do not let it be smoothed out.
- Props: in a scene, the towel or plants should not promise anything you do not sell. Say what is included in the description.
A ready-to-copy instruction
Paste this into the Product photo instruction field, adapting the soap and the setting:
Professional product photograph of the exact handmade soap bar in the reference image. Preserve the product exactly: bar shape, edges, cream color, swirls and surface texture, and the stamp or lettering if there is one. Do not redesign it and add nothing on the soap itself. Scene: light wooden soap dish on a stone bathroom counter, a folded waffle towel, one eucalyptus sprig in the background. Lighting: soft natural window light from the left, light contact shadow. Camera: three-quarter view, soap sharp in the foreground, slightly blurred background, true-to-life colors.
What does a whole range cost?
There is no subscription: a 1K image costs 20 credits and a 2K or 4K image 40. Packs cost €4.99 for 500 credits, €9.99 for 1,500 and €24.99 for 5,000, which puts a 1K image between €0.10 and €0.20. Purchased credits never expire. For each soap, count one 1K test, then one white-background image at 2K.
Good to know
- One image at a time: no batch processing, no API and no integration with Etsy, Shopify or any other shop. You download each image and upload it yourself.
- Badge and watermark: the first 2 free images carry a small badge, the following ones a more visible watermark. It is removed for good after your first credit purchase.
- The image is redrawn: for soap, keep real photos for close-ups of the texture, stamp and colour, and list the ingredients in your description.
- Privacy: your data is stored in France and your photos are never used to train AI models. NiceLook is published by waitech france.
When you sell online, always show the product faithfully: each platform's rules are summarised in our guide to AI images and marketplaces.

FAQ
How do I photograph handmade soap on a white background with AI?
Photograph the dry bar near a window, upload the picture to NiceLook's Product photo module and ask for a pure white background with a soft shadow. Test at 1K for 20 credits before generating at 2K or 4K.
Will the colour of my soap be accurate?
Not always. In our test, the cream tone drifted towards peach. Compare the result with your real bar in daylight, and regenerate with the colour spelled out if the gap is visible.
Does AI read the stamp on my soap?
It may distort or rewrite it. Check every letter, and if the stamp matters to your customers, add a real close-up photo next to the generated image.
Is there a subscription for photographing my soaps?
No. Sign-up gives 100 credits (5 images at 1K), then packs start at €4.99 for 500 credits. Purchased credits never expire, and the watermark disappears after your first purchase.
