Before and after: soy tealight candles

The original photo shows loose tealights in a tight close-up. On white, they are lined up in a grid with a soft shadow: very readable for a listing. But the arrangement is recreated, so the number and spread of colours differ from the photo, and some reds drift towards orange. In the styled scene the candles are lit on a stone tray in a warm living room: the mood is strong, but the flames are added by the AI. Make sure the visual matches what you actually ship.
How to do it in 3 steps
- Shoot near a window with the candle unlit, in indirect daylight, on a light surface. Show the wick and the top of the wax, with margin around. For a batch of scents, line them up side by side.
- Open the Product photo module, upload the picture and type a short instruction, for example: “white background, candles in a tidy grid, keep the wax colours”. For a scene: “lit candles on a stone tray in a living room, warm evening light”.
- Generate at 1K (20 credits) to check colours and wicks, then at 2K or 4K (40 credits) for the published image. Download it and add it to your listing.
What to check on a candle
A candle sells on atmosphere, yet the buyer receives a specific object. Check these points.
- The wick: its size, count (one, two or three wicks) and material should match your candle.
- The label: name, scent, safety wording. Invented or unreadable text on the label is a flaw to fix, or to cover with a real photo.
- Wax colour: red, sage green, cream. Compare with the real candle in daylight, since colour drives the perceived scent.
- The flame: a generated flame is not proof of how the candle burns. It says nothing about burn quality, burn time or clean combustion, so never present it as such.
- Container and proportions: glass, metal, ceramic jar, real size. A scene can make the candle look bigger than it is.
A ready-to-copy instruction
Paste this into the Product photo instruction field, adapting the candle and the setting:
Professional product photograph of the exact handmade candle in the reference image. Preserve the product exactly: container, shape, wax color, wick, label and text. Do not redesign it and add nothing on the candle. Scene: lit candle on a stone tray, blurred throw blanket and sofa in the background, warm living room in the evening. Lighting: warm soft light, a gentle glow of the flame on the wax, light contact shadow. Camera: three-quarter view at the height of the object, candle sharp in the foreground, blurred background, true-to-life colors.
What does a scent collection cost?
There is no subscription: a 1K image costs 20 credits and a 2K or 4K image 40. Packs cost €4.99 for 500 credits, €9.99 for 1,500 and €24.99 for 5,000, which puts a 1K image between €0.10 and €0.20. Purchased credits never expire. For each scent, count two final images at 2K: one white-background and one styled scene.
Good to know
- One image at a time: no batch processing, no API and no integration with Etsy, Shopify or any other shop. You download each image and upload it yourself.
- Badge and watermark: the first 2 free images carry a small badge, the following ones a more visible watermark. It is removed for good after your first credit purchase.
- The image is redrawn: for a candle, keep real photos of the label, wick and wax colour, and state the burn time given by your supplier or your own tests.
- Privacy: your data is stored in France and your photos are never used to train AI models. NiceLook is published by waitech france.

FAQ
How do I create an AI photo of a handmade candle in a styled scene?
Photograph the unlit candle near a window, upload it to NiceLook's Product photo module and describe the setting you want: living room, tray, bedside table. Test at 1K for 20 credits before generating at 2K or 4K.
Does the flame in the image prove my candle burns well?
No. The flame is added by the AI: it proves neither the quality nor the length of the burn. Do not present it as proof, and quote burn times from your own tests.
Does AI keep my candle's label?
Not guaranteed: small text can be distorted or rewritten. Check every word and add a real photo of the label if the wording matters to buyers.
How much do photos of my candles cost?
A 1K image costs 20 credits and a 2K or 4K image 40 credits. Packs run from €4.99 (500 credits) to €24.99 (5,000), with no subscription. Sign-up includes 100 credits.
